Window with a "strange" View...

It's a nice story which made me post this picture.
We have moved recently from a rather modern house in the little harbour village of Bruinisse to a rather "old" house - originally built more than 400 years ago - in the center of the little picturesque town of Tholen.
We were all the time busy with painting and decorating for the first three months and last week I was finally sitting on our sofa, looking around our sitting room and enjoying the feeling of the "almost" ready decoration.
And then, through my own window, I saw a lovely painting at the other side of our street, in the Art Center of Tholen. I stood up, looked and looked again, it was fascinating...

The next morning I went in the Center and I met the artist, Andrea Cook. I asked her about her inspiration for this painting and she showed me a photo on the front of a magazine. And it was indeed one of my own pictures...

Such a small world!

Hi Viviane,
This is indeed a motive to be painted, I think I would like to paint it myself too. The colours and the composition are great. Thanks for sharing!

wah... Ces couleurs sont magnifiques, et j'aime beaucoup la séparation entre le blanc et le rouge. L'ensemble est très graphique, avec cette ferme au loin dans la brume. Bravo !

Hi Viviane. Wonderful scenery. The rows of tulips create great sense of depth as the merge towards the vanishing point. The contrast between the red and white flowers is dramatic, eslecially when compared to the diffused colours of the trees and the buildings. The sky too fits nicely as it does not compete with the flowers.Bravo Viviane. Regards. Klaudio.

Bonjour Viviane, c'est magnifique, vraiment chouette. Le premier plan est de toute beauté, tellement néerlandais, et cet arrière plan et ce ciel bien chargé ne l'est pas moins, néerlandais ;)
C'est trop beau.

Bonjour,
Une photo où chaque zone de couleur permet de mettre l'autre en valeur les autres. Pour un résultat que je trouve graphiquement magnifique.

This would indeed make a great painting! Your composition and POV are outstanding using the rows to lead the eye though the photo. The lighting and colors are outstanding with nice sharpness and detail. The haze in the background gives the photo a soft and serene feeling.

Intéressant avant-plan bien coloré qui donne une bonne perspective.
J'apprécie cette différence de contraste avec l'arrière-plan brumeux.

Le monde est petit et l'anecdote n'est pas banale..
Quel splendide champ de tulipes, c'est un régal pour les yeux..(j'avoue avec honte que je n'ai pas eu le bonheur d'en admirer un en pleine nature !)

Wonderful lanscape.
Lines of flower with different color gives a senso of depth to the photo. I like yor POV, mayme IMO I wolud have cropped a little bit the sky.

quelle photo splendide!Je comprend qu'elle aie pu inspirer un peintre!Les couleurs vives et lumineuses du premier plan font un superbe contraste avec l'arrière-plan un peu brumeux.Les tulipes rouges mettent les blanches en valeur,et vice-versa!La profondeur de champs est excellente.c'est tout simplement magnifique!

Photo extrêmement bien composée, ces tulipes rouges volant la vedette aux blanches... et au loin la brume dans laquelle se dessinent les arbres - c'est très joliment fait - bravo

Ce qui me plait dans cette image c'est le contraste des fleurs rouges et blanches, c'est très joli. Cependant si je puis me permettre, j'aurais peut-être pour ma part monté un peu la ligne d'horizon que je trouve un poil centrée. En tout cas c'est du beau travail.

Viviane, this is a classic composition - basically two lines at right angles. The grey soil and roof tone pleasantly with the sky, while the brilliant red and white tulips bring it to life.
And a very interesting story!

Un petit tour sur ta galerie après t'avoir embété avec mon problème de lien hypertexte.
je vois que j'arrive après beaucoup d'autre pour admirer cette photo qui correspond vraiment à mes gouts en la matière, ou comment un sujet somme toute classique devient ainsi un petit chef d'oeuvre...
