Photographer’s Note
This is the maxi catamaran 'Playstation' from Steve Fosset. At the Heineken Sint Maarten Regatta Fosset brokes the record around the island. Our pressboat with two 200 pk outboard has problems to keep up with this big cat. That is fast, very fast. On the picture you see that the crew had set a rif in the mainsail. Look at the tiny crew at the back. The Playstation is very big. Here Fosset and his crew cross the finishline.
Now Fosset and his crew are going to attack the Jules Verne record. The Playstation has now a new name; Cheyenne.
Now the record is on name of Peyron. It had taken Peyron in his cat Orange 4 days, 8 ours, 37 minutes.
Yesterday Francis Joyon broke the solo record around the world. It had taken Joyon in his 90ft trimaran, IDEC, just 72 days, 22 hours, 54 minutes and 22 seconds, to complete a voyage of some 27,150 miles, giving him an incredible average speed around the globe of 15.50 knots.

A beautiful shot with great colours. I like the way the front of the catamaran rises up. Interesting note. Thank you for sharing it, Robert.

not as technically superior as your other shots of the boat but still a good one. Again, your low angle communicates the superioririty of this boat.

Good, almost square, cropping around this catamaran, Robbert. Nice choice of low angle and low horizon line. The blue area of the sky looks just slightly grainy, but the clouds are spectacular. Looks like this was a great day for boating. Interesting note.

I like the angle of this shot - gives a good feeling of the mast height. The soft colors and clouds gives an execellent background. Very well done Robbert and thanks for the note.
