Photographer’s Note
One more aviation related picture from my side. This one was also taken at the annual open days of the Dutch air force, just as http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Netherlands/photo34422.htm.
As this Dutch F-16 was flying higher than the German Tornado on the other picture, I couldn't make use of the trees to catch the speed in the picture. Therefore, I tried to capture the action by waiting for an opportunity during the flying display where the pilot retracts his landing gear, lits the afterburner of the engine (see the fire in the tail) and uses the artificial smoke at the tips of the wings.
The open days of the air force are always very popular events for the Dutch people. This year's edition attracted around 300.000 visitors to Twenthe air base.
P.S. Answer to robiuk: unfortunately taking pictures of these fast moving jets keeps me most of the time from taking notes on shutter speeds and apertures. However, I think the settings for this picture were 1/500sec, F8, 300mm.

A less tight framing would have been preferable in order to leave more space in front of the plane with the detriment of the trail of smoked. If not, technically very quite carried out, developed perfect and clearness on all the field.

Un cadrage moins serré aurait été préférable afin de laisser plus d'espace devant l'avion au détriment de la traînée de fumé. Sinon, techniquement très bien réalisé, mise au point parfaite et netteté sur tout le champ.

Another great and attractive shot!
I regret not having exposure and aperture values here as I'm sure many of us would learn from it.
Thank you, Michael!

Michael this one is also very great and difficult to take. But this time there's no speed. But that doesn't matter, because there are a lot of details in this picture. The afterburner, the landgear and the smoke on the wingtips. Good picture.

Wonderful snapshot of this F-16 in full show. The chosen angle highlight the details of the plane. The smoke dynamize the set of the action.
An excellent work, Michael.
