Photographer’s Note

today I was up in the North, in Groningen. It was yet another beautiful day with temperatures below zero and clear blue sky.
what fascinates me however of these Northern towns is a certain architectural style which dates back to the '20s and '30s of last century: sober, dark (some would say gloomy), rational, passionless almost. dark red/brown bricks are very often used for external decoration, as this building exemplifies.
not exactly as explosion of life, but strangely appealing - at least to me.
