Rosendael Castle
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| the 14th century rozendael castle, near the dutch city of arnhem, originally consisted of an isolated round keep tower, connected to a forecourt containing a house and several service buildings. at least, this is what it looks like on the only picture i saw of the original situation. in the 18th century, the current house was build on the place of the old castle, incorporating most of the exterior walls of the medieval complex and maintaining the old keep tower as the visual centre point of the castle. in the 19th century, it was surrounded by a beautifull english landscape garden |
