Photographer's Note

I'm just back from a few days vacations in the center part of the Netherlands. And this picture is about Holland’s hidden treasure, the National Park De Hoge Veluwe, and about biking...
There, the interplay of fresh green leaves, majestuous trees, natural light and water were conducive for rest and reflection. I've tryed to traduce that in one single picture...

Read on the Net:

* Two wheels are all you need at De Hoge Veluwe National Park - By Jamie Strachan

* I’m convinced the Dutch are brought into this world, not in the conventional way—kicking and screaming like the rest of us—but pedaling busily into life on toddler-sized bicycles, bells ringing, with chubby little legs and feet knowing instinctively just what to do. The passion for two-wheeled activities is legendary in and around the vibrant streets of Amsterdam, even if the chaos often spells danger for unwitting pedestrians - [From: GoWorldTravel]

From WikiTravel:
"National Park De Hoge Veluwe is one of the Netherlands' oldest and largest national parks. It is about 5,500 hectares of woodland, heathland, lakes and driftsand. De Hoge Veluwe is a peaceful park where visitors can find plenty of space and rest. You can walk for hours, or cycle on the many bicycle paths."

Of course we took our own bikes - every Dutch people owns at least óne bike - but since foreigner visitors shouldn't go to Holland and not ride a bike, they could took advantage of the infamous Dutch "white bikes" available in the park, that can be picked up and left anywhere whenever the riders are finished with them, and bike through the changing landscape of forests and sand dunes...
