Photographer’s Note
The international 4 day's marches from Nijmegen were held this year for the 90th time.
It's a huge event in which 40.000 walkers from all over the world can walk 30, 40 or 50 KM each day.
Especially on the last day hundreds of thousands spectators and supporters are cheering the walkers to the finish.
The walkingevent is joined by a whole week of festivities in the city. Lots of artists and bands playing in the streets and parks, and every evening the city is packed with partyminded people, myself included. :)
Unfortunately the marches were cancelled this year after a dramatic first day.. Due to the heath (34+ degrees) many people collapsed, and two very unfortunate walkers died.
This picture was taken early morning on the first (and only) day in the village of Bemmel.

Hi Vincent,
Good shot. Very well chosen POV and lot of dynamism in it. Same comment as the previous one but what else could I say? :-)
