Photographer’s Note
This one I also took at the National Park Veluwezoom after the rain had stopped. I liked the view of this heathland, with those different colours.
Here's some info about heathland in Europe wich I found on the internet:
Heathlands are a characteristic feature of the western European landscape. They are characterised by biotic communities of ericaceous dwarf shrubs together with their associated flora and fauna. Heathlands are highly valued for a variety of reasons, these include their value as cultural landscapes, their historical associations, their characteristic and frequently endangered biodiversity and their value as subjects for ecological study and research.

Hello Nel,
I like those different colors too and details. It wasn't a sunny day though as the sky is white but it gives something special to the colors. Have you tried to add a little saturation? I like the texture of this image and I enjoyed reading your notes too about Heathlands. Wel done and TFS,
Claudine

The tree on the left is balancing the picture pretty good. I like the misty mood of the image with the fog surroundign the top of the hill. A bit more of saturation would grant more punch.
Good job anyway. Thanks for sharing

Hi Nel,
Nice composition with the tree on the uppen third of frame. Its a little soft on the upper part though. Might try increasing the apperture from f8 to f11. TFS!

Prachtig Nel, mooie foto. Het is een schakering van natuurlijke tinten.
Ook erg mooi is die boom en nevel in de achtergrond, dit geeft deze foto echt diepte.
