Photographer’s Note

SNOWY A12 | Ede

This picture is taken one week after the last post (A12 | Ede)
The snow was suddenly came over Holland the where a lot of traffic jam because of the snow.
A view hours later this way was full of snow and the cars are standing still for a long time.
The snow the day before on a Friday was the worse snow fall after a long time.
Many people must sleep in their cars and some had stand still for more then 6 hour’s.
This can also happen in the Netherlands.

Very cool photo Remco, I like the long exposure. It's really quite beautiful also. The amount of light is perfect here...often hard to do with a night shot. I like how the snow is lit up on the side and median of the road by the invisible cars. Well done and interesting.

Nice long exposure and good patterns. It's amazing what you can achieve with a slow shutter speed. The sharpness is great and the colour nice.

This is a pretty amazing shot. I like the red and white lights as well as the blue signs. So sharp too. Looks so eery with the snow and ice.

Your long exposure has produced some interesting light lines. It's an excellent idea and it has worked very well. Good composition and PoV and those dark, misty, snow-capped trees look great. Well done. Best wishes, Vicky

Great shot! youve managed great focus in the shot, its very sharp which is ideal for this type of long exposure shot, lovely exposure, the lights look great and the colours seem to fade upwards into the distant trees, great shot!

Normally these types of cliche shots are just the same and don't get my attention, but this one certainly has.

The effect of the snow is brilliant, and the bars in the middle and trees are a great addition also.

The stripes in red and the yellowish/white are very well captured
The road sign in the distance adds a lot to this colorful image
But the snow combination is the best

Hi Remco, this is a very interesting shot. I love the colours of the lights and the motorway signs and how they stand out against the dark forest. Good composition too with the light trails coming from/going to the corners of the picture.

This is a very unusual picture of long exposure of highways. I very like the surrondings of it, those big trees (are they firs?) with the snow that seems heavy on the branches. I do like also that the highway is not centered, giving a different point of view of the usual pictures. Great sharpness too. Very well done!

THis is such a fine shot, but could have been made better by using a longer exposure maybe 30 secs or so, so that the light trails are complete and dont stop in the middle. Otherwise, the background is very strong and makes good composition! well done thx
