Photographer’s Note
This is the town hall of Harlingen, a city in Friesland at the coast of the North Sea, captured in evening light.
The town hall was built in 1730 by H.J. Norel in Louis XIV-style. The building stands on the southern side of Noorderhaven (North harbour). Above the balcony on the frontside there is a guilded statue of the Archangel Michael. At the backside there is a tower with bells playing different melodies every half hour.

a very pretty building. shame about the car though, but what can you do about that?
nice autumn light too.
i think you could have gotten a better composition if you stood back a little more and showed more of the surroundings. but i assume this is as far back as you could go.

Hello Roland,
This is a beautiful old building, captured with so many interesting details!
The warm light adds atmosphere, and the tree makes a fine frame for the view...
Pity for the busy foreground but I guess this was the only possible angle!
Greetings,
