The Markermeer is a 700 km2 freshwater inlet on the north sea in Flevoland and is situated nearby its sibling, the Ijsselmeer. It's used as a reservoir and a buffer against floodwaters and droughts. In 2003 the Netherlands were hit by droughts, and several minor dams were endangered. Water from the Markermeer was used to keep the area surrounding Amsterdam wet. Lelystad dam Enkhuizen also called the Markerwaarddijk and the Lelydijk is visible, the road that runs on the dike is the N302 and is used by 8500 vehicles per day with a speed limit of 100 km/h. une bonne composition, un paysagt simple mais bien structuré par ces éléments verticaux à l'horizon.
C'est bien vu, c'est original!

A very Circe compositn in thirds here, and an informative picture too. It's amazing to think of these structures being used to keep water in, not out! Once again, I learn from this site and from your post, thank you.

HI Gueguen, Nice place to know and also comes with your detail notes about this Markermeer make me understand more about the outside world. The white structures give nice pattern to the frame. Beautiful light and natural colours. Thank for sharing

Good evening Miguel,
Fine view upon the unique structure built to preserve fresh water.
Depth and clarity, and inspite the low light condition, a good contrast, well collected.
