Shopping Reflections
This picture has been on the waiting list for a very long time, I doubted about it, but today I decided to post this one, since it is also something completly different in contrast to my other recent uploads.

This picture was taken in Almere in the province of Flevoland, the youngest city in The Netherlands. This is the facade of 'de Zoetelaar', a shopping centre in the heart of the city. Those mirrors you can see here are above the entrance. The reflections in the mirrors caught my eye. The building you can see in the mirror is another part of the shopping centre, if I remember right and the lines are a kind of gate.

Almere is built in the south-west of the Flevopolder. This polder is located in the middle of the country on the place of the former Zuiderzee. After a flood in 1916 it was decided that de Zuiderzee would be closed and reclaimed. This resulted in de Noordoostpolder (Northeast Polder), Oostelijk Flevoland (Eastern Flevoland) and Zuidelijk Flevoland (Southern Flevoland), which together makes up the province Flevoland. The project was completed in 1968.
The oldest part of the city of Almere is Almere Haven (Almere Harbour), that dates from 1976. Nowadays, Almere is one of the fastest growing cities in The Netherlands and will probably enter the top 5 biggest cities very soon. At this time the city has about 175,000 inhabitants.

I hope you like these shopping reflections!
