Hi there!
Here's another picture from the last winterday of 2007.
This one is made at the Noord-Willems kanaal, near Marsdijk. It's the same house as in Winter Sunset.

Beautiful shot Florian, with spectacular hoarfrost and pleasant colors. The red-brown house and the flowing water provide a great contrast for the otherwise snowy landscape. The image is nicely composed and benefits from excellent light.

nog snel even een kritiek op je mooie foto. Ik denk dat ik dit tot nu toe jouw mooiste plaatje vind van de 22 december serie. Prachtige berijpte bomen, helder, fris, rustig, in balans, mooie reflecties.. Kortom, fijn om naar te kijken!

Is this snow or hoar frost? Either way its really lovely how you have captured the cold air feeling of this photo.
Also the reflections in the water is great too.

Très belle photo de ce paysage avec les bâtiments de couleur parmi les arbres givrées qui réflètent dans l'eau. Belle composition.

Zo florian, jij was dus wel in de gelegenheid om het prachtige weer en wat daar uit voortvloeide vast te leggen. Helaas was ik niet in de gelegeheid. Nu kan ik er via jouw foto's alsnog van genieten. Het is een mooie serie waarbij die van de weerspiegeling er eigenlijk wat boven uit steekt, De bomen precies op de gulden snede? Het straalt een hele rustige wintermorgen uit, met veel rust en erg koud door de prachtige blauwe lucht. Jammer dat het watel niet zorgt voor een perfecte weerspiegeling, iets te veel beweging lijkt me.
Heb je ook nog overwogen om het centrum van Winterpaintig uit te vergroten? Daar zit volgens mij ook nog een hele mooie plaat.

Hi Florian,
Beautiful winter image in this composition. Almost we can feel the cold environment of this sunny day but with the absolutely frosted landscape, and with the trees so white that seem to embrace this nice house.
The reflections of all these elements in the water, the great light and the nice colors give a magnificent result.
