Photographer’s Note
fresh from the cam... no, not really, from ps :)
it happens that sometimes i take wrong buses, wrong trains. it happens that i fall in love for the wrong guys from time to time.
that said, let us return to the image.
i took it at Santo Amaro train station this morning. my original plan was to go to Guarapiranga, a huge lake not very far from my house to try panoramas, boats, windsurfing...
as soon as i took the bus the rain began to fall.
at the bus station i took the wrong bus which left me far from the lake... after a 15 min walk under the rain leading nowhere, i decided to come back home through a different way, thus the train. zut, the connection to the metro was closed (i forgot it does not open on weekends). so i had to go back to the train station and then i gave up.
slowly i notice i begin to prefer b&w and street photography with a touch of graphism...
hope you like it.
very very little pp: chaged to lab color and messed around with levels/curves. changed to b&w and cropped to align borders. voilà. oh, no grains were added.

I just love the symmetrie in this one! The three human beings at the end of the tunnel -a mum with her three kids?- give that little extra that makes this photo great. I don't know much myself about taking wrong trains and busses, but sure know about falling in love with the wrong guys :-) Good luck to you and hope the sun will shine soon again!

Beautiful!
I'm fond of futuristik pictures and this one is perfect!
The symmetry impose respect. And people bring life to it!
Perfect , it seem to be a part of sci-fi project !

Oh very excellent use of vanishing point - I like the fine symmetri in all dimensions and the three persons which makes the image complete - Congratulation Isabel- very fine job - A favorite.

Excellent geometry, symmetry and DOF. and the people are perfectly positioned to give a focal point and give us a feeling for the size of the tunnel. Hope you get lost more often!

Great patterns in the repetitive ribs of the walkway. The placement of the people at the far end is perfect. This works well in B&W as the focus is on the shapes rather than the colours.

Very nice image. Your choice of black and white suits the image very well. Your post processing has come out very well. Good shot.

hahahaha! Funny note Isabelle.
It's a nice photo you've made there. At first I was thinking that I would prefer the people closer, but upon looking at it longer I think you were right to have them further away at "the end of the tunnel" if you will. The lighting leads us to them. Nice BW work.
Cheers!

Good compo Isabel and, just as you say, with a touch of graphism that adds to its interest. Everything is a bit too "straight" and balanced, unlike your usual shots where you are less "rigid". Fortunately there are three small human souls wandering over there, without whom this would really be an outer space scenery..

What a lovely symmetry here, Isabel. The B&W is lovely, and the silhouettes on the end ot th tunnel are the cherry on the cake.
This is a beauty, and the ovalform is great.
I was on the wrong platform yesterday too, ;-(, but it only costed me 15 min. extra, whereas you got nowhere!

Yay! Whooo! Yes, for me this picture would be nothing without the three people. But now it's so exciting, so space-age, so Brasilia! I'm adding it to my theme, "Retro-Futurismo."
Well, so your day wasn't a complete waste ;)

Great perspective. The B&W is judicious to reinforce the impact of curves and lines. An amazing eye effect. The silhouettes in distance are also greatly placed. A futuristic mood!

Very much, and the central placing of the subject here is very striking. It reminds me of some old fashioned CRT based scientific instrument, measuring the intensity of some sort of pulse.

A bit moody, a feeling given by the low dark roof I think. The graphics are very strong and the perspective is soooo looong. The people at the back are important. (For the picture I mean, otherwise we are all important, right?)

It's like a shot from a sci-fi movie!
The symetry is perfect and the choice of b&w was very clever, improves the impact of the composition..
Great POV and use of light.
The three people -in a symetry themselves- just made the shot awesome!!
More than congrats!

Hola Isabel. Felicidades.

Not your usual style but a very efficient composition and nice B&W.
Love it.

What a fine graphism this is, Isabel. It has a strong impact and is astoundingly deep. It's nice to see how this compressed metal arches take us step for step to the threesome. Again there is a stiry to be told. What's also very nice here is the subtle tension between the arches and the straight lines of the flooring. The bw treatment is very well executed. Y'r object choice and y'r great flair for graphic content is not new to me ;-) Xcellent job!

How a miserable day can end with a beautiful result! Many people would have put the camera in their bags without using it after so many disappointments in one day. But fortunately you did not! This is an fabulous picture. Very beautiful depth, we are drawn into this 'tunnel' at an increasing velocity towards the three people at the end. I love the contrasts here and the transparency of the sides. Marvellous work!

I`m surprized how simple way you did this - it is for your travelling people allmost everyday view, but you captured it. Your shot is more, than just what we see, there is question of life ?! People are important, not technology things and new modern surroundings - you thought (I guess), when shooting this "look those people !" Depends, which "tunnel" we choose, that kind of life we have, and we have to make daily many choices, bigger or smaller matters. Well focussed people, Isabel.

Hello Isabel,
You very well played with the repetitive curved pillars of this footbridge. With this perfect symmetry, that gives an good graphical rendering and depth to this shot. The three people's silhouette in the distance humanizes this place and this cold and futuristic architecture. Great work, Isabel. It's an excellent architectural shot.

Hi Isabel
Excellent pov through the tunnel. The b&w sand symmetry renders the shot very graphic. I like the family of 3 right at the end as they make a focal point and accentuate the depth.
