[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ulcinj est la ville la plus au sud du Monténégro, située au bord de la mer Adriatique.

Commune limitrophe de l'Albanie, la population est essentiellement composée d'Albanais.

Cette photo a été prise sur le marché couvert de la ville par une chaude après midi.

Cette vieille dame faisant une sieste au milieu des fruits et légumes a attiré mon regard et je n’ai pas résisté à l’envie de prendre une photo de la scène.

La photo à peine prise, une main m’interpelle, je me retourne face à un homme âgé d’une cinquantaine d’années.

Je m’excuse et lui demande si cela ne le gêne pas.

Il me sourit et m’explique que cette dame âgée de 75 ans est sa mère et qu’elle se repose à cause de la chaleur.

Je lui montre la photo, il interpelle alors sa maman pour que je lui montre la photo.

Elle sourit également et nous nous quittons par une poignée de mains.

Une très belle rencontre.

Ulcinj is the city more in the south of Montenegro, located at the edge of the Adriatic Sea.

Town bordering on Albania, the population is primarily Albanian.

This photo was taken on the market hall of the city by a heat afternoon.

This old woman making a nap in the middle of the fruits and vegetables attracted my glance and I did not resist to take a photograph of the scene.

The photograph taken, a hand challenges me, I am turned over vis-a-vis a man of about fifty years.

I excuse myself and asks to him if I can take the shot.

He smiles and explains that this 75 years old woman is his mother and that she sleep because of heat.

I show him the photograph, he challenges his mom and I show her the photograph.

She also smiles and we are left by a handshake.

A very beautiful meeting.

amazing vivid colors and definition. The woman makes a nice contrast with all those vegetables and fruits. Excellent POV. I like it a lot!

A friendly story to go with the photo. Well composed and colourful shot, even without the old lady sleeping. The diagonal composition of the peppers works very well and the inclusion of the tomatoes in the corner is a great idea.

I like the vivid colours. The composition would be even better if the sleeping woman was a bit closer to the left edge, and more vegetable were covered the rest of the photo.

Quel plaisir avec le numérique de pouvoir partager nos photos. Il y a quelques années encore il fallait promettre de les envoyer (ce que l'on oubliait souvent) ou se promener avec un Polaroïd.
J'aime bcp les trois bandes colorées de cette composition. Les tomates apportent un équilibre indispensable.
...j'imagine la chaleur de midi!

It's not easy when it's hot, you're tired and there are no customers around.
The colours are rather bright and the vegetables look so tasty.

They say that eating a lot of paprica makes people grow old, and the woman is maybe the proof, but also making short naps is obviously healthy so this is another aspect :))) I love the strong colors in your photo adding life and energy but also the sleeping woman makes your picture a true winner.
