Photographer’s Note
Taken during one of our ship's port calls to Monaco. I loved the triangle effect pointing straight to the cross at the top.

Hi, Shelly. I really like this picture. Some might think it overexposed, but I love the "high-key" effect. The pastel tonality and crisp lines remind me of a beautifully rendered colored pencil drawing. The subject is classic, and the composition is just right. You should be very proud of this. Don

Good composition (IMO). Creates a nice strong image with the dark dome dominating the frame.
Don has already pointed out the overexposed areas where you've lost detail. Check your original and see if there was a problem with the scan or with editing. All may not be lost here.
One thing that would help the image is to select the sky and smooth out some of the noise.
Also there is some distortion along the edge of the dome. I'm not sure what's going on here. It might be over sharpening but it doesn't look like the normal halo effect that I'm used to seeing.
Try going back to your original and see if you can figure out what happened.

An amazing angle to catch this at. It looks as though the larger dome is cradeling the smaller tower like a child. Could have taken a step or two to the right to align the towers better and the copper roofs turned green give such a nice contrast to the grey stone. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Shelly,
This must have been in your navy days.
Wonderful vertical presentation of this lovely domed cathedral. All is seen in fine sharp details and nice clear colors.
Regards, Tom
