Photographer’s Note
Another capture from the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco. These jellyfish were suspended in the water moving very slowly so it was still possible to get good sharpness from a 1/13s exposure.
I used the same technique as with my previous picture See-Thru Fish, where I placed the lens against the tank to keep the camera steady and avoid reflections.

Can I see a human face in that jellyfish?????
Look again, Jonathan.
Great shot anyway, wonderful blue and transparent white composition using makeshift 'tripod'.

At first glance I thought this might be a nebula in outer space. The subject may be here on earth, but the result is out of this world! The is a beautiful shot, with colour that is so rich and vivid, and tonality that is very subtle. Excellent!

Encore une merveille du monde du silence, Jonathan !
J'aime la grâce de ces méduses dans l'environnement bleu. C'est le genre de clichés qui font rêver les plongeurs.

Hi Jonathan,
Excellent result under difficult circumstances. The jellyfish are marvellous, but especially the amazing ultramarine blue makes this picture particular. Like an abstract painting.

Hi Jonathan
These colours jump out of my screen. Powerful impact and nice exposure. The abstract nature of the shot works very well and the details are well conveyed. Real, National Geographic stuff. Well done.

This almost looks like one of those sci-fi poster art paintings, Jonathan. Wonderful colours and perfect exposure. I am not sure that this meets TE's TOS, but it has attracted so many positive critiques that I am now tempted to post something similar that I took of jellyfish at the Singapore Aquarium a few weeks ago. Cheers . . . David

Wow, this is only the second picture of yours I've looked at and I must say it is another great shot. The clarity of the photo actually looks as if it was taken underwater. The blues are brilliant.
Very useful note.
