Harbour at Dusk Photo

Photographer’s Note

The sun goes down and the harbour is quiet. But the restaurants and bars in the area are coming to life. This picture was taken on the road rising behing the harbour and I found a convenient bollard on which to perch the camera for this 1/5s exposure.

A great view over the harbour. The light conditions were very nice. I also like the small distorted reflections of the masts in the water. The composition is good too.

Beautiful evening atmosphere in this marina. The lights indicates a happy evening in the harbour with a lot of good food and talking about the sail of tomorrow.

I like the unusual light in this photo, with the lights from the city visible while there is still light in the sky, which has a pastel hue. Well done!

So this is what real wealth looks like? I bet one of those yachts belong to you as well!! Nice capture with the lights just coming on. The pov is great too as we get a sweeping view of all that wealth in one swoop. Nicely done.

Hi Jonathan, A good view to the beautiful and crowded marina. A nice timing to best of use of the last day light as well as the highlight of the city. A good job to this long exposure result.

Well composed with fine hues and tones in the falling light. I especially like the sky hues and the sparkle of lights from the waterfront area. The framing is well done, with the boats nicely placed in the foreground. A fine capture.
