Photographer's Note

Inside Monaco Cathedral the most notable things are the altarpiece by Nicoise Louis Brea ca.1500, and the massive Episcopal throne carved in white Carrara marble. In addition are various other works of art, some held in the vestry and not on public display.

The cathedral has four bells, three of which were blessed by Mgr Gilles Barthe, Bishop of Monaco, in 1960. These were Religious (275 kg), Nicole (460 kg), and Marie Immaculate (1050 kg). The fourth bell, Benedicta, was added in 1997 as part of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of the Grimaldis to Monaco and the 750th anniversary of the first parochial church.

In 1956 Prince Rainier famously married Hollywood actress Grace Kelly in Monaco Cathedral.

znakomita kontynuacja twojej serii z Kadedry w Monako.Bardzo podoba mi sie ten typ ujec.Punkt widzenia skierowany ku gorze i skadrowany bardzo symetrycznie.(zrobilem kilka podobnych zdjec w Sagrada Familia)
Podobnie jak w twoim poprzednim zdjeciu z wnetrza tej Katedry znakomicie dobralas ekspozycje,tak aby wydobyc jak najwiecej szczegolow.To kamienne wnetrze robi niesamowite wrazenie.Znakomita praca.
