Photographer’s Note

There will be a few more from this village, amazing place off the beaten track, that is why it is so special. Misha is the only one Gypsy left in the village, but he has family visiting him, and they sure know how to party. At 11 am we were drunk as hell playing music on cups, bottles and one guitar.

Great photo and great note, Swiatek. Makes me wish I was there too! I like the detail in this photo: the tattoos on his hands and the expresson of anticipation on his face while he's openeing the bottle. Nice one!

Some strong free-willed characters you have here. THe close focus with long dof work well, but the photo lacks your usual aloofness. Is that weakness? Not necessarily, we have become used to your brooding lonliness so much that it is disappointing for us to see otherwise.
