Photographer’s Note

We took a trip to Saharna, a monastery located by the Dnestr river. The landscapes along the route were picturesque and the weather was nice as well.
This is typical curvy rural country with fields in hills.
Sunflowers, corns, cereals are plants cultivated in the country.

Hi Iaroslav, nice composition. Typically you would expect the sunflowers to dominate the frame - but you have chosen to emphasize that huge sky and the hills beyond. I like the huge shadows cast by the clouds too. Excellent, Roberto

An impressive view over the fields. The sunflowers' field adds a lovely touch to the entire composition which is excellent. Well done! Congrats :)

Hi Iaroslav,
Interesting how you got such an attractive photo of a landscape that may look something dull at first sight if it wasn't for the sunflowers. Besides the colour and the pattern of the fg, I also like the sky and the sense of expanse. That said, it isn't a dull landscape after all. :-)

I think you missed the chance this time, Iaroslav - the clouds are overexposed, and you give too little weight to the sunflowers - they seem to be falling out of the frame.
