Photographer’s Note

It was interesting for me to note the very clean flower market in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. All the flower merchants worked one side of a street and I did not see flowers for sale elsewhere in the city. This place, was kept cool in the shade of the park trees and is central, just off the main street of the city. With Moldova being known as one of the poorer countries in Europe, you would never guess it in the city - flashy cars pass by and this, perhaps the most pretty flower market stalls I have ever seen.

Hi Dan,

Why this shot is not appreciated more is not clear to me. It's a wonderfully colourful daily life photograph with a good note! People like to see Asian beauties and portraits of children, but this is good work as well!
The light, the atmosphere, the vibrant colours - all caught well with a pleasing depth of focus. Nice one!
