Photographer’s Note

the pyramidal structure is the memorial to The WWII. it was erected in Soviet times and became a place of worship to those died in WWII times. it was renewed this year after a presidential order. some other facilities were built around the memorial as well.

Здрасвуй, Яр!
Конечно, многие не поймут зачем этот памятник. Многие вообще не воображают, что советские отвоевали победу, что война велась преимущественно на восточном фронте. Для многих битва при Мидуее - самая главная битва в мировой истории... Все таки я счастлив каким то образом, что когда то принадлежал к той общности, которая знала зачем и кому эти памятники...

Hello Iaroslav,

This is a shot that should be recognized for its composition — the "pyramid" and tree act as nice counterpoint, roughly 1/3 from each side. There is a beautiful "big sky" in the composition, with the fluffy clouds mostly on the horizon. It is a pleasant photo overall.
