Photographer’s Note

On Gozo island, it is a place which each visitor should not miss, the natural decoration of this rock coast is superb especially fere with this natural arch of Azure Window.
And when the wind and the sea break out, the waves in fury give to the site an impressive aspect.

Hello Jean,
A very impressive image of this boiling sea. Excellent pov through the archway to the headland beyond. Good tones and textures and very good sharpness. The two people on the top of the arch provide a real sense of scale.

Hi Jean,
Perfect shot with these waves bounching on the rocks. Excellent colours, rich and deep, just as i like to see them.
Those two people add really somthing to the overal composition, especially the one in the red coat...wonderful.

Bonjour Jean,
la photo est prise au mieilleur moment quand les éclaboussures sont au plus haut, ce qui intensifie bien la force du fracas des vagues sur le roc.
Les personnages bien placés donnent une idée des tailles de ce rocher.

a 1 an près tu croisais Sarkozi.
Cet arche de pierre est vraiment impressionnant. C'est bien d'avoir eu cette vague en pleine action.

Hello,
an excellent timing, indeed. The splashing wave below the rock bridge nicely shows the power of the sea. The two persons on the top are very appropriate addition to give the impression of scale. Very nice colour of the sea despite the waves, obviously it is quite deep and with just stones around not many silt exists to spoil its colour.

Jean, I saw so many shots from this natural arch of the Gozo island. Everybody used more or less the same POV and I was started to be bored with all the posts at TE. But wait, you brought a new dimesion with this one. The POV is fantastic and including that breaking wave it also gives a huge dynamic. Still not enough! You even managed to have some people on the top to give life and reference! You are the man!

You have captured a very impressive place at the right moment, the image of the waves tocuhing the stones, and the image of the people on the upper side of the arch, makes a great image the one from yours.

c'est une photo qui à la base m'impressionne beaucoup mais le fait que tu aies pu avoir deux personnages dans la cadrage rend cet endroit encore plus grandiose. On arrive à imaginer ce que cela doit être dans la réalité. Bravo, belle prise.

Bonjour Jean, la gerbe d’eau est grandiose et saisie au bon moment, je ne sais si pareil jaillissement est continuel, mais sa rend bien, j’aime bien les deux cobayes que tu as envoyer là haut pour donné plus de consistance à ta photo, je ne sais pas si là haut le vertige nous gagne, mais d’ici, avec la fissure sur la gauche du rocher et le toit du roc qui fait office de pont, je ne me vois pas là haut, bien amicalement

Une image pleine de reliefs avec des rochers impressionnants où l'on peut voir l'énorme vague se briser contre ceux ci. Les deux personnes en haut donnent l'échelle et on se rend bien compte de la taille de cette arche. jolies couleurs, bon cadrage donnant de la profondeur.

Au moins la petite escapade de notre nouveau président aura eu du bon. Elle t'as permis de replonger dans tes archives pour nous faire partager de superbes images. Ici la compo est magnifique avec ces éléments déchainés, la force de la nature qui a creusée cette roche fait face l'apparente fragilité des 2 silouhettes. Superbe !

je vois que notre president prefere te motive pour continuer dans ta serie maltaise, ce serait difficile de t'en vouloir quand on peut decouvrir des endroits aussi spectaculaires que celui ci, bien dynamise par le jaillissement de la vague, c'est pas de l'acharnement de ma part mais j'ai encore fait un petit WS ;-)

La présence d'Homosapiens nous permet d'évaluer l'échelle de cette imposante arche et Sarko devrait être tout minuscule :)
J'apprécie beaucoup aussi cette mer en furie qui agrémente cette composition.

Ta photo me rappeles de bons souvenirs car j'ai passé plusieurs étés d'adolescent à Malte et je me souviens être allé me baigner sur l'ile de Gozo à proximité de ta photo: heureusement l'eau était plus calme.

Ta photo mets parfaitement la caractéristique de ce lieu que les maltais appelaient "Blue Lagoon".
