Marsaxlokk is a traditional fishing village located in the south-eastern part of Malta, with a population of 3,277 people (NSO Report, Dec 2008). The village’s name comes from marsa, which means "port" and xlokk, which is the local name for south east. The word is related to the name for the dry sirocco wind that blows from the Sahara, comparable to the equivalent Catalan word, "xaloc".

Hello Daniel ,
If it was not the vertical format , it would be almost exactly the same composition than my today's post ! Boats , quay , fishing equipment , lamppost , palm trees and a church in the BG . And the same mediterranean light !

A splendid point of view that draws the viewer into the scene, moving from one element to the next, culminating in the focal point offered by the church. Lovely Mediterranean sky and colours to match. Superb clarity. Thanks for sharing.

this typical scenery is really beautiful! This is actually the seaside at its best. You are presenting a wonderful impression of the boats taken from a very well working POV. The perspective is excellent. My compliments!

a well chosen POV that captures the mood, quiet and beauty of this little Maltese fishing haven. Lots of wonderful sharp detail and a real sense of the warmth and atmosphere of the place. Beautiful!

Hello Daniel - Your composition takes good advantage of the lead in line provided by the divide between sea and dock as it leads the eye between the colourful boats and shore-side details to the attractive domes and towers in the distance. Although I can't see any people I get a strong impression that this is a busy and lively place.
Nicely managed and full of interest.
