The city of Valletta is truly spectacular if you just rise your eyes (and still watch your step :P).

An interesting view of these typical Maltese buildings. Perhaps the most interesting part is the documentation of the Internet Café. That must be a dying business when everybody has a smart phone and there is free wifi everywhere.
Have a nice weekend.

The upwards point of view shows the architecture to good effect, whilst the lamps strung across the street help give the image depth. The internet café sign makes a good frame and anchor point. I like the tripartite tonal effect. The image is pleasantly lit and has good colours and clarity. Have a great weekend.

it always pays to look skywards with photography. This is testament to what there is to see and how it makes for fascinating images. The buildings of Valletta are so full of wonderful character and history. Irresistible imagery!
Enjoy a great weekend - B.

On peut toujours compter sur toi pour nous offrir un cadrage différent et original.Ici, un bel effet entonnoir au dessus de la rue vers la mer au loin.

Interesting POV in this upwards shot of a Valetta street that reveals much of the nice architecture above street level.
What I always find disturbing in these kind of shots are the unruly electrical cables that spoil the view. My hometown Basel, with its tramway lines is a good example and many a shot of mine has been ruined by these things.
have a great day

strano taglio, tu sei un amante del taglio verticale e presenti questa foto in orizzontale, nonostante i molto elementi verticali.
In questo caso sei riuscito a dare più importanza ai cavi della corrente e al piccolo spazio del mare con il suo orizzonte.

interesting idea to cut out the lower part and thestreet level of the scene.I like the outcome-gives good sense how steep are the srteets of Valletta and of course makes we focus even more on the architectural aspect of the shot.
Have a nice sunday

bellissimo il taglio che mette in evidenza la struttura delle costruzioni regalando altresì un bell'effetto grafico! Grande la qualità!
Un caro saluto

very creative composition which well illustrates the essence of Valletta: it is build on steep hills and passing it with a pushchair for example is not always easy :(
I like that you have included the sea on the horizon that allows the viewer to imagine the hill below the frame.
Very well done,

I have looked at your series on Malta and found your latest post quite intriguing. The photograph has sharpness and clarity and the uniform light over the façades of buildings on both the sides bring out beautiful colours and shades. The blue of the sea is an appropriate contrast.
However, the natural inclination is to know what is left out in the bottom of the photograph. It appears to be abruptly cut off. A vertical frame would probably have given us a more complete scenery.
Excellent thought though, since we very often forget to look up and enjoy the unique construction.
Thanks for sharing, Daniel.
