Photographer’s Note
This is the Blue Lagoon, one of the most sought places to swim in the islands of Malta. It is located in Comino, the smallest island in the maltese archipelago. The photo was taken in the morning before the place fills up with lots of swimmers from Malta, Gozo and mostly tourists.

Hi Edward,
an almost incredible clarity on water, magic colors and light.
Very well done!

What an amazingly beautiful place!! No wonder people flock there. The color is stunning and the clarity of the water is like a pool.
I am curious, though, why you shot at f5.6. There was plenty of light and you could have gotten much better detail with a lower f stop and slower shutter speed. The rocks in the distance wouldn't have been so bright and you probably wouldn't have had to sharpen it so much you got artifacts.
That is such a fabulous place, though, I think I'd go back and knowing me, take HUNDREDS of shots...:))
Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly
