Photographer’s Note

Picture taken in St. Ursola street in the very beautiful historical town Valletta, Malta’s capital.

Valletta is an open-air museum, Baroque in character with many palaces and churches .
Remarkable are the many steep streets with limestone buildings and their very special and unique balconies.

The stairs in the streets do not conform to normal dimensions since they were constructed to allow knights in their heavy armour to be able to climb the steps. The steps in Valletta certainly contribute towards the uniqueness of the city.
But for children it’s not always the most easy place to play football. And also in Malta football is absolutely the most popular sport.
