Old Balconies Photo

Photographer’s Note

The elegant wooden balconies of Valletta (the capital city of Malta) were used as a view point for families to catch up on the business of the street below. Today in Valletta you will see baskets lowered from balconies for the baker to pop in a loaf of bread. This simple act saves the home owner several tortuous flight of stairs.

Good sharpness & a nice division of the frame into 9 squares. Reminds me of the Brady Bunch opening credits! The bottom left corner breaks the pattern nicely. Tfs, & have a great weekend!

I believe that Malta has to be a beautiful scene, full of contrasts, nestled on the Mediterranean. The balance of the composition, is extraordinary.

The balconies are old despite the time, a special beauty. Great sharpness and perfect frame.
