Photographer’s Note

The breakwater, which was completed in 1903, transformed the Grand Harbour into an all-year-round port. This, together with the investment pumped into the quays alongside the port and the shipyard’s docks in the 20th century, gave the port’s commercial identity a new momentum, which Malta still benefits from to this day.
The Grand Harbour’s breakwater brought about an important, military, commercial and industrial outcome. Without it, Malta would not have been able to make great strides in its economic activity throughout the years.

Hello Thomas,

Interesting shot with this shot using the end of day light to build a quiet mood. I like the emptyness of the sea except the 2 boats entering the harbor and the one leaving.
Good note to explain us the history of this harbor.
