Photographer’s Note
These are the typical Maltese balconies and doors.
This particular scene is in Marsamxetto, Valletta.
The two decorated balconies are in honor of St. Augustin the patron saint of that district!

Hekki Francis,
A fine symmetrical composition, well cropped and well brought with soft shadows and natural colours.

Hi Francis,
you´ve got a beautiful rhythm here with these coloured doors. And it´s well framed and cropped. I also like the soft and log shadows of the evening light.
Good one !

Hi Francis, great TE shot, showing us architectural details of this houses. Composition works well with the shapes of the houses filling the frame symetrically. But how can it be that there are so many doors, they are too close together? Cheers, Steve

Hi Francis,
Wow, what a stunning array of doors and windows! Well seen, perfectly captured. That one blue door sure jumps out of the whole picture. Wonderful details of a unique architecture.
I have to ask the same question as Steve though - there are so many doors so close together... how can that be? Does every apartment have its own door?
Great job, thanks for sharing.
Best wishes
Claudia

Such an interesting, flat presentation of peoples' homes, doors and windows. I love seeing where and how people live. This is a perfect look at all that. The details are very interesting. Thanks, Judy

Hi, Francis!
Great shot. I like how many pieces (windows, balconies and doors) created one architecture composition. I like colours and many different textures too.
