Photographer’s Note
My first macro taken in Mdina. I tried resting my hand on the rock there for this, it turned out better than I had expected! Next time i will try a tri-pod though.
Mdina is the old capital of Malta, is a typical medieval town situated in the centre of the island at an altitude of 200 metres above sea level and enjoys a spectacular view of the Maltese Islands.
The "Silent City" as it is known although fully inhabited, silence therein reigns supreme. In Mdina car traffic is restricted and this further enriches its silent atmosphere. Narrow street and alleys, churches, convents, and palazzo, characterize the city, together with the surrounding high bastions.
