Photographer’s Note
Good Friday celebration in Mosta. Penitents with chains attached to their legs and often in bare feet follow life-sized statues of the Stations of the Cross through the streets to attone for their sins during the year. The statues are usually carried by up to 8 men and can weigh as much as 1800 pounds.
