Photographer's Note
Just taking a little break from my India kick and bumped into this photo I took back in October 2005 with Sony DSC-F77 (aka my spy camera)
This photo was taken with its rotating lens. I tried to catch him without him pausing for the shot or turning away. I think I may have got one of my wishes.
The reason I like this photo is the movement and the look in his eyes.
The colours have been balanced. I also sharpened it a little. No cropping.

Hello Cigdem, like the "secretive" manner in which you took this street shot and the menacing look the man gave you, I can understand why you wanted to be "hidden". :)
I like the combination of this soldier and the interesting door beside him - makes it feel like he might have walked out of it from another place and time. Thanks for sharing!

Great shot Cigdem. I definitely get a sense of movement in the picture. My personal inclination would be to crop, but I think your choice of not doing so helped add a sense of movement. I'll have to keep that in mind for my own photos in the future.

Hi Cigdem.
You got a nice shot here.
The man's look is very natural and expressive, maybe a bit harsch and impatient. It probably expresses a certain fatigue of being photographed by tourists? Or else he was late and rushed? In any case it has a lot of caracter.
The light on the old stones and the street floor adds a lot of warmth to the shot, making it very mediterranean.
All in all, it's a great shot. Well done!
Robert
