Photographer’s Note
Back in the 1500s it was said that in this area you could have found a village called ''Tal-Millieri'' but nowadays nothing is left. The only things you can find are these fields.
It is said that this village was lost because of the Great Siege Of Malta in 1545. The villigers went to live in Bormla or in its area because of the fortifications provided. So these areas were left in conditions like this till now. ( You can find this area Between Gudja and Ghaxaq Nowadays )

A very good photo. I think it is ideal in Black and white. Also excellent note.

Hi Andrea,
The tone works with your concept .. as does the emptiness of your scene .. there is a nice sense of dimension from your layers .. If there was a larger near focal object (a stone .. bit of fence .. anything) .. It might really bring out the dimension .. I love how I can feel the wind in the grass .. very nice image.
take care,
John

Good evening Andrea,
a monochrome photo, it is ideal to present a dead and disappeared village. I am sure that coloured, the photograph would have been beautiful too. Excel text. Cheer. Cordially

Dear Andrea,
The black and white medium you've chosen for this pictures is depicting Tal-Millieri in it's true context.
It looks exactly like a photo taken from an old album.
Regards and well done.

Dear Andrea,
Fascinating shot and note. I wonder if there are any historical/archeological investigations taking place here to reconstruct the former village.
I like the way you show the empty field here. It works well in black-and-white. In fact, I would love to see even more empty space! But then again, I love empty spaces!
Best,
José
