Dingli Cliffs

The Dingli Cliffs are an impressive Cliffs formation at the southern coast of Malta .Near the village of Dingli at the hill Ta' Dmejrek the land falls away at around 250m. Named after the famous 17th-century English architect Sir Thomas Dingli, the cliffs afford wonderful coastal views.

A superb depth of field thanks a POV very well selected. The colors of the various elements ( sea, cliff, grass, sky,..) are very well collected. A good photowork.

Hallo Achim,
Du wanderst ja Richtung altes Jahrtausend, statt vom neuesten Auslandsaufenthalt was zu zeigen. Dafür gibt die grün bewachsene Küste mit den weißen Felsen eine schöne Linie, in der das transparente Wasser anziehender wirkt als sonst. Schöne Tiefe durch den Blick.

Achim good morning
A beautiful panorama of the sharp cliffs at the south of Malta. I like the diagonal of the rock formation amidst the bluish color of the sea, and the striking white light everywhere. Malta is certainly a beautiful summer destination

na, die Attraktion haben wir jetzt aber reichlich bekommen! Das Bild betrachtend kann ich mir wohl vorstellen, wie herrlich es sein musste, dort am Rand der Tiefen und in der Mitte des Unendlichen zu spazieren, den Duft und das Murmeln des Meeres zu genießen. (Die gute Belichtung, die uns auch die Struktur der weißen Kalkwand zeigt, ist zu loben.)

They are very impressive indeed. And beautiful and picturesque. They look like having been painted, as they are so white. You did an excellent choice of POV.
Until I noticed that it was scan I was surprised by the noise and purple on the BG, but for a scan, the result is remarkably good.

Hi Achim,

The diagonal and curve lines of the cliff are assets to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the horizon which gives depth to the photo. The colors are enhanced by the good light. Have a nice day.
