This was taken in Victoria/Rabat, the capital of Gozo island, in a hot afternoon. A typical Mediterranean scene.
Victoria is the name given in 1897 by the British government on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, at the request of the Bishop of Malta, Mons. Sir Pietro Pace. However Gozitans still often refer to it by its old name, Rabat. The area around Victoria, situated on a hill near the centre of the island, has been settled since Neolithic times.

Salut Daniel, uite ca ai ajuns is in Malta, cred ca e un loc deosebit, definitely on my list too. Imi place compozitia, strada intunecata si cerul luminos. Imaginea kiar imi da un sentiment de lene :)

A pleasant perspective down this narrow street toward the focal point offered by the church. The person sat on the chair at the end of the street contributes much to the atmosphere. I like the low light and understated colours.

that´s true-Rabat has its own, unique charm and the life seems to go there quite peaceful.
Good idea to frame the scene like this. The view from a narrow street towards the main square gives us good impression not only of the architecture, but also of the life in the town.
And the lady sitting on a chair adds also lovely, like you wrote "lazy" atmosphere to the shot.

Daniel I always love your lane shots.
And this one is very exclusive.

A good diffused light and excellent shadow detail in the darkened alley with good sharpness and superb lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective. The red umbrella and al-fresco dining area is nicely positioned over the vanishing point. Tfs!

Its such a pleasant capture... justifying the title of the photograph. The warm colours of the walls contrasts with the darkened grey of the pavement, but the effect is soft. The images are sharp and various shades of the walls due to the light has been an excellent capture. The blue of the sky is an addition to the effect.
The person sitting on the end of the street with legs stretched forward justifies the mood of the photograph.
A very appropriate POV but personally ..I would have cropped off a centimetre off the bottom.
Excellent and elegant framing.
Thanks for sharing.

Ciao e buon fine settimana
