Photographer's Note
The flooded church of Saint Nicholas, Mavrovo Lake, Macedonia. It is an artificial lake, made to supply a power plant. Water covered parts of old villages.

Hi Djivo!
Very nice photo! Very nice contrast an end of the day light I guess...
Maybe you could post some more of that place to have a better idea of what parts of the villages survived the water!

Carlos Gomes

Hi Djivo
This photo really impress me with the reflexes of the little church on the water, great DOF, POV and sharpness. I liked the composition too, it's very nice and performing with the whole thing..
well done.

Very nice PP work!!!
Like some others I would also like to see more from this place, and that´s always a good sign, isn´t it?
It instantly made me think of some disaster, but then it is a wanted thing - from some people that is.
Our prosperity demands offers.......

I see, it's more important to be connected to eletric energy versus being connected to the spiritual world. Symbolic picture of the era we live in. This picture has a very strong message.

Hi Djivo,
Ah, this is so much better....and I'm pleased that it worked for you this time. The colours in this fascinating but tragic image are just right and the reflection in the water is more pronounced thus giving the subject a punchiness that the other version did not have. Great stuff.
Best wishes,
Celina

Hi Djivo,
This is THE PHOTO! You've corrected it well! (maybe a bit too saturated, but not a big problem) Congratulations!!!

I love it, the way it is fading, but still showing something from the old times..
we have places like that in slovakia. sorry for the people who had to leave their homes though.

Nice shot, could be improved by the plants in the front not being in shot, but a great find nonetheless.
I really like shots like these very bizarre with interesting stories behind them. I really like how the spire is still in such fine condition after so many years.

See what you think of my reflection shots.

That is so cool-looking! The sparkling water around the old-looking building really fires up my imagination. I almost want to look for mermaids living inside. Nice cropping, gives a sense of place without being distracting. And I like how you have improved the contrast and colors from the original version.

stunning photo. the subject is more impressive than before; you've done a great job fixing the original and taking people's advice. I like how the green in the water is echoed in the vegetation on the church and surrounding area as well as the earth color in the church walls is echoed in the mountain side.
