Photographer’s Note
The church dedicated to Virgin Mary in Novo selo, designed by Andrea Damjanov, was finished in 1850. In the 19th century the Turks allowed building of churches again after 400 years, but they set many rules so the churches wouldn’t dominate over the skyline of the settlements. Andrea Damjanov using porches, bell towers and portals managed to create exciting and dynamic architecture.
I posted detail of the porch of the church under workshop.
