Photographer’s Note

The landscape falls apart in two regions. The Oesling (828, km2) at north of the line Redange-Diekirch are a part of Ardennen-Eifelmassief. The solid mass is there, except in the north, where it to 559 m. high, has been strongly cut by deep valleys of the Sauer (Sûre), Clerf, Wiltz and Our; the rest of the plateaus go to exceed 400 m high. The Southern part, Gutland or [Le bon Pays[ (1758 km2), form a part of the Lotharingse cuesta landscape, who belongs to the basin of Paris. Altitude varies of 200 up to 350 m. the lowest point (129 m) is due to the junction of the Sauer, the most important river of Luxembourg.

This one was made during my holydays. I like the depth in the photo, and the good colours. I have cropped it, and I hope you will like it.

I've seen that fence before Jaap, only there was a cow standing behind it...right? You may be able to fool me about trees, but not about fences.

Fine colors and details, you give us two lines to lead our eyes to the trees at the horizon. Granted these trees are less distinquished than what you've been giving us of late, but the yellow field compensates somewhat. Fine work.

A composition very well choosen and very wel balanced. THe perspective given by the fence, the slope of the field, the one-third taken by the sky, all these aspects show us a great composition. Also a beautiful contrast between colours composing this shot : the yellow one facing to the green one, and the blue of the sky covering this scene. Very well done !

Lovely place in a lovely shot,for me it has a poetical atmosphere,I don't know why,but it's a pleasance feeling,...in a great way you composed the elements with this fine POV.

Your title summarizes the major qualities of this photo very well, Jaap - depth and colors. Good use of the fence and the line of trees behind to establish perspective, and beautiful contrasting colors. I also like the "curve" shape provided by the trees in the back. Well done.

De juni maand laat toe Jaap, om de gele velden op tezoeken, en daar een mooi beeld vast te leegen zoals dit hier, de weide afsluiting geeft de diepte weer, de naaldbomen het goede perspectief, en het koolzaad het toetje op de taart. Mooi.

Ha Jaap, mooie opbouw met veel diepte, vertikale lagen. afgetopt door het horizontale bos. 'k Vind het hetk mooi, met die ouwe boomstammetjes ipv allemaal nieuwe paaltjes

Very good point of view here. The way we get both the view from below the flowers and above the flowers because of the rolling landscape is great. It helps create a nice wave like pattern like being on a sea. The depth and colors in this are excellent. The way the flowers all merge into a yellow mass still with distinctions is really great. Very nicely done.

Les couleurs ici se marient parfaitement et donne beuacoup de force a la photo en attirant trés bien le regard.
J'aime bien le fait d'avoir inclus la barriere car elle nous guide au travers votre image.

Er is een mooie kleurscheiding in deze foto: links het felle geel en rechts het frisse groen en achteraan het donkere groen van de sparren. Deze scheiding wordt nog geaccentueerd door het houten hek dat in de diepte wegloopt. Goed gezien!

Effectivement beaucoup de profondeur dans l'image.
La barrière sépare deux couleurs avec un bel effet de perspective.

Jaap, le paysage prend une dimension des plus intéressantes grâce au POV et à la composition. La profondeur de champ est excellente puisque on peut dixtinguer les herbes du premier plan et les arbres qui sont à l'horizon.
