Long shadows Photo

Photographer’s Note

When the year started, the season was so mild we were convinced that this would be another year without real winter in western Europe. Well, February put an end to that. This image from January now seems like a distant past before the fields disappeared under snow and the bicycle disappeared to the back of the basement. We are going through a black and white period and I for one is looking forward to the reappearance of colours such as these.

Oh - this nice landscape pretty much like it could be found in Denmark - in fact do I know this place ;-)
And yes I can agree - the last days have given us the most snow this winter - at least in the southern parts of Denmark - but too bad the snow mealting today.

hi per, nice photo of the landscape in Luxembourg, althoug it also Benelux, you don't see this type of landscape very much in the Netherland, but Jeppe is right: it could also be danish. The sky is nice, the water in on the foreground as well. The lines on the field give it an extra.

This is my second try to make my coments and critique to your good work, I sincereally don't understand why and is not the first time, that after the "Server" don't update our "Enter"!!!

I like very much this composition, with a great angle of view, colors and contrast. But in a "WS" I wll try my vision and angle of view in this situation. I think you don't mind, because sharing ideas and opinions are a must fir all of us.

You're right, Per - January '05 was like spring compared to what we've been having for the last two or three weeks. This is a beautiful scene from the fields in the ambient afternoon light, with a pleasant play of lines as we can see the fields surrounded by the barren trees. The layer of clouds certainly helps to beautify the overall appearance.
