Photographer’s Note

Last night, for a few hours, the skies cleared, it stopped raining and the sun came out shortly before sunset. So I grabbed the bicyle and set out on the cycle path along the Alzette river. This cycle path is usually jammed full of cyclists, joggers and in-line skaters, but in recent weeks it has been so full of dead leaves that only people on foot and crazy mountain bike riders use it. But as this picture shows, when you do, you are rewarded.

I resized, saturated a bit and sharpened.

Photo full of soud of leafs. Great light and warm colours make this photo pleasent and relaxing.

I like your placement of the path to the left, so the slope on the right gives deepness to the overall feeling.

I like the texture of the leaves on the ground. This kind of looks like somthing out of the Lord of The Rings movies. Very fantastic.

Wished I had taken this morning walk, seeing the morning light streaming through the autumn leaves, the cruching of dried leaves underfoot and the smell of morning in the air. Well done here Per and thank you.

Very beautiful, Per. The "golden" autumn feel is very well conveyed in the way the beams of sunlight are bursting onto the foliage-covered ground. Also, the colors of the leaves on the trees are enhanced to the very best. Great shot, very crisp and fresh-looking.

Beautiful, Per. The perspective, the light, the leaves. It's all beautiful. I like how you say it cleared up just for a few hours. The light streaming through here really gives a feel of the sky opening up and the path opening up. The streams are just fantastic and the composition suits it perfectly. Excellent work here, Per.

Hi Per, the road give a perfectly depth image the sunlight between the trees together with the shadows, and the lovely golden colours are splendid. Very beautiful autumn picture.
