I have only visited Luxembourg once and was delighted with Luxembourg City.
My shot shows some of the upperpart of the city where a large group of people suddenly appeared, full of interest, trying to take shots of The Grund.
Now, for those who have never visited Luxembourg, The Grund is an old part of the central city, built in a low valley, on the banks of the the River Alzette. From the upper walls, it is possible to have an aerial view of The Grund.
One of my previous shots here shows one area of The Grund.
On our visit, we had a tour of The Grund, in a bus, where we listened to an audio of the complete history of the region.
Thank you for your interest. Bev :-)

hello Beverley ,
With the granite stoned walls and the black slated roofs , i find that towns in Luxembourg are a litte similar to the ones in Brittany . This is an excellent perspective on the different buildings , from a waell chosen POV . The light is superb , by this splendid early autumn day .

nice the view as the presentation of this part of the city with the Grund to dominates the image. The view of the group of the visitors over there viewing and seeing the Grund, makes the image more effective and unique.I like the light management as colours enhancing the beauty of the houses, with the blue of the sky to make the scene even more adorable.
Have a good day,Danos

What I saw first in this photo, was the long line of tourists stand along the railing and viewing the scenery, probably the river below.
The balcony made a dividing line on mage between the old stone-wall, and modern town built above.
Fine POV and good clearity, on bright sunny day.

A magnificent blue sky, and good to explain in your note what the people at left are peering at. Excellent sharpness with punchy light contrasts, good color saturation, nice framing & superb contrasted lighting. Tfs!

A very pleasing shot from a place from which I had never seen a photo until a few people started posting them on TE. It's a great viewpoint, looking up towards the subject, and making a feature of the curving wall and the onlookers. I like the way the roof-line makes a gently curved diagonal across the well polarised sky. And now I've just remembered another shot of yours from Luxembourg - I don't have Alzheimers just yet.

a wonderful shot of this part of Luxembourg. It is years since I visited but it looks totally unchanged and still full of charm and elegance. Executed stylishly and composed perfectly.
Enjoy the weekend - Brian.

Le regard suit naturellement le mur dans l'image, ce qui lui donne beaucoup de profondeur. J'aime bien les gens qui regardent tous dans la même direction.

I like this composition where you have included many curved lines that going together at the left marginal. A beautiful view, maybe it should be a good idea to make a stop here; we have passed through this country many time, driving from Germany to France (and back again). We have never actually stopped here;)

The city of bridges, castles and gullies — that's the way I remember Luxembourg from my very brief overnight visit in 1969. I was a young academic, on my way from Washington, DC to London, and flying on LuxAir I made stops in Reykjavik and Luxenbourg. In this post, I can see how that my memory served me well about the ravines and castles.
