Photographer’s Note

I have been neglecting Trekearth for some time due to lack of time. But although the problem persists I wanted to share this image with you.
Last night Greece made it to the finals of the European Cup against the favourites, the Czech Republic. We of course feel sorry for the Czechs, but to see three to four hundred resident Greeks gather to celebrate in the Place d'Armes -which is the central square in Luxembourg - just before midnight, is a sight not quickly forgotten.
It is extremely difficult to take nightshots with a small handheld camera, outside - and with flash - of such moments. But for once I feel I have captured the joy of that particular evening for the entire Greek nation. Comments are welcome.
And I wanted to post this before the finals on Sunday.

Don't cry Hellas too much .. to because in french language the word "hélas" ( same sound )means "unfortunately / alas" :-)))

Lovely capture Per. We just arrived from Greece yesterday and inescapebly followed the Greeks through the tournament following their team. This pic very atmospheric pic could have ben shot in Greece.

It's a very good shot ...the composition is good but I think the most important thing is capturing and showing their feeling !

I've been checking in with you regularly, and then the one time I take a break you post something ;o)
You caught that happy feeling that the Danish people can only dream about very well, and the grains are good here. Lucky that he put his arm up and allowed you to have a white "canvas" to put his profile on. Good work Per.
