Photographer’s Note
It sometimes happens that you come home from a walk or a bikeride or a visit to the city or whatever with more than one respectable photo of more or less the same subject. If you are a good TrekEarthian you chose the best, post it, and try to forget the other(s. But a second one then comes back to haunt you. This is such a second to this first. And as the light fades to give way to winter I couldn't resist posting one more golden memory of October in Luxembourg. And after all it is a different angle - and in this one you can see the Alzette river.
Cropped, resized, enhanced a bit - and I wasn't at all sure about leaving the sun in or cropping it out.

Lovely photo, Per! The light on the leaves is really beautiful, the reflections also; I would crop the sun out, but think it is a very good composition even with it. Good work!

Good note, I totally understand this feeling…
Nice river scene at autumn time, the leaves are so colorful and create interesting reflections. About the crop, good that you left the sun, it adds a nice touch, but I would crop some from the top (above the sun)

My favorite type of photo, with strong backlighting. Also, very difficult to capture without getting lens flare and loss of contrast. You've done a wonderful job here!

The backlighting is doing a very fine job here, as well as the reflections.

Hi Per!
Really like your photo here. Your composition and point of view is great. The misty river entering in at the bottom left, goes well with the tree branching over it. Lovely autumnal colours, and i think the sun is ok to leave in, as it is not too striking.
Well done!

A fine follow-up to your "pure gold" post, Per. Again the atmospheric rendition of the autumn light is a beautiful success, and in addition to the gorgeous backlight-enhanced yellow, red and brown hues I like the reflections on the water surface. I fully support your choice of not cropping the sun :-) Well done.

Hello Per,
Magnificent work! Certainly, this my subjective opinion, but I think, that the photo should give rise to emotions. This work very beautiful, romantic, "warm", raised, unreal.

Photo pleine de douceur. Bien vu pour la lumière qui est correctement maitrisée, ni trop, ni trop peu. bravo

Very lovely and moody shots - Too bad I missed this one - its perhaps even better then your first one. I like that golden reflection in the water and the way the sun ligth up the mist - The weak direct sun and the fine leafes what makes the difference here. Thanks Per - I missed this kind of shots year.

This is where I would like to spend my afternoon... The exposure is very well managed because your camera looks in the direction of the sun. The rays and the leaves are very nice and warm. I think you could have enhanced the saturation a bit more towards yellow to have a deeper, warmer mood. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful shot.

As stunning as your first one of this scene, I like it all except the sun is too big and bright. Cropping it out would give a softer feel to this lovely place.
