Reflections in the Moselle river Photo

Photographer’s Note

I have tried to get inspiration by the amazing pictures of "carper" a well known member of TE with his excellent gallery.The picture was shot at STadtbredimus in direction of the German border.

Beautiful shot. The sunlight gives the picture a warm atmosphere and the reflections on the river look lovely. Too bad the Rhine over here is brown so we don't get to see these kinds of scenes. I like that you've included some flowers at the bottom of the pic...gives it some more depth.

first of all thank you for your note! To get inspiration from each other is - from my point of view - the benefit of this site! But I think that you are still your own (what I appreciate very much); it is the perspective that makes the difference. I like this shot very much, the entire atmosphere is beautiful and the light is great. TFS!

Bonjour Jean Claude ,
Je trouve que tu as raison de t'inspirer de Carper : sa galerie , comme tu le dis , est fantastique . Ici , le reflet est superbe et les couleurs et sont très belles . Quelques remarques :
L'image ne manque t elle pas un peu de lumière . Je sais que tu as tendance à un peu sous exposer : est ce un choix , ou cela vient il de nos écrans différents ?
Tu as inclus quelques branches au premier plan : n'y en a t il pas trop peu ?
Dommage que tu n'ais pas pu prendre la jolie église comme élément fort .
N'y aurait il pas un léger manque de netteté (du à la compression ?) ?
Tous ces remarques sont plut^t des questions que je me pose , car , comme toi , j'essaie de progresser .

Bonsoir Jean-Claude,

Je suppose que c'est une douce et chaude lumière de fin de journée qui donne ces merveilleuses couleurs d'automne. Le paysage est superbe j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère reposante qui ressort de l'image. En lisant la critique de notre ami Denis, je me suis permis un petit atelier, j'espère que tu aimeras.

This is a great shot with a fine reflection. The reflection provides nice depth and balance for the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The angle of the shot works well giving the photo a nice sense of direction.

Très belle vue de la Moselle dont les rives ont pris leurs premières couleurs d'automne avec un POV bien choisi et surtout de magnifiques reflets.

Clean and Sharp,
Light and reflection is very fantastic

But the leaves at the bottom little bit annoying and White frame than black make sense I hope. Just my thoughts
