Esch-sur-Sūre (Esch-Sauer in Luxembourgish) is a town of approx. 300 people in NW-Luxembourg. It's castle and the main part of the town sit on a piece of land within a sharp curve of the river Sūre. Just above the town, the river was dammed in the 1960's to meet the country's drinking water needs, forming a hydroelectric reservoir extending about 10 km up the valley.
On the way down from the dam, back to the village, I took this picture. The gray roof nearest to the bottom, partly hidden behind the trees, is the roof of the café in my previously posted The Village Feeling photo. |

Hi Ari. A fine landscape and a fine shot. Good composition, foreground leaves and the castle in the right upper corner, there is a nice line from the bottom left. I have posted you a little workshop suggesting how to bring out some more of the beautiful colors here. Greetings Jens :-)
