Photographer’s Note

Fogs...they are typical of Luxembourg (I suppose Luxemburgian friends will agree)
In autumn you get up in the morning, it's dark till 8 (joking), then fog till 1 pm (no joke).
While driving to Vianden which is 47 km from Luxembourg, I didn't even notice the castle until it was shown to me...
Here the fog is going down so after a half an hour the sky was clear with beautiful sunshine.

Vianden is not densely populated (about 1500 people) and lies on the Our river, near the border between Luxembourg and Germany.
It's famous for its castle built in middle ages which you can admire from a chairlift which operates from the banks of the river in the lower part of the town taking you high above the castle with magnificent views over the landscape

With a special dedication to my friends who always patiently look for NEW castles whenever I'm there...
