Photographer’s Note

It is drawn up, splendid, on a rocky outcrop surrounded out of horseshoe by the dwellings of the borough. The date of the first beginnings of construction is lost in the mists of time... The oldest part is the Western wing surrounded of the first buildings of dwelling going up in Xiie century. At the beginning of XVe century the installations increase considerably.

very nice composition: two walks heading in two different directions divide the picture into two subjects: the castle, and the men walking upwards the street;

Lassés des fastes de la Cour, nos deux amis repartirent plus décidés que jamais vers les basses-cours populaires.

Belle image. Beaux murs, quand on connaît la pluviosité d'un pays comme le Luxembourg. Il faut être fou ou sûr de son coup quand on édifie des murs blancs en pays humide.

Bonjour JP,
Le cadrage est excellent et situe bien le chateau dans son contexte.Tu as eu un petit problème d'exposition, pobablement dû à la blancheur des façades qui les rend surexposées, conditions pas faciles quand on voir que le reste est fort sombre.
Tu n'avais probablement pas une bonne lumière.

Mooie bocht waardoor het perspectief zeer mooi is, beneden zijn de kleuren ook perfect, alleen het kasteel is een beetje te wit misschien.

Le joli virage grâce auquel la perspective est très jolie, en dessous des ses couleurs aussi parfaitement, uniquement le château est peut-être un peu trop le blanc.

Bonjour Jean,
Tu n'as pas eu de chance avec la meteo, le point de vue est bon avec de la perspective et un cadrage approprie mais le chateau ne ressort pas tres bien sur ce ciel laiteux. C'est dommage qu'on ne puisse pas encore controler ce petit parametre, imagine une touche "ciel bleu avec petits nuages" au dos du D70...

Hi Jean,
A blue sky without shadows of the sun does't fit. So I think we must accept, like you did, that the weather isn't always that bright as we wish and that picture without sunshine can be excellent too, like this one of you.
