Trakai, a photo from Vilniaus, South

Photographer's Note

Trakai Island Castle at night. The castle was built in 14th century on an island in lake Galve. It's probably the biggest castle in Lithuania.
Taken after sunset at 20:11. Brighter cloud on the right side is illuminated by the Moon behind it.
Camera settings: 44 mm zoom, manual mode, ISO-400, mirror lockup and 2 sec self timer.
Converted from raw with color temperature set to 3100.

In the workshop - I have uploaded another photo taken few minutes later from the same spot.

What a pretty castle and so nicely lit. Taking it in the blue hour has brought out the lovely colours and the reflection is very attractive too.

Hello Linas! Wonderful shot, the repetition of those reflected steepled roofs is very well seen. Very good technique as the results are very sharp for a long exposure.

This is a very nice blue hour photo. Your composition is great using the reflection to create depth and symmetry. The use of both natural and artificial lighting is great with nice color and detail. The long exposure worked well for you here yielding a well saturated shot with nice DOF.

Wow, what a gorgeous shot! The exposure is right on, and the lighting on the building makes this very interesting and beautiful. The reflection is perfect. I like the timing, getting a little bit of light in the sky. Outstanding!

Absolutely wonderful! The light, colours, sharpness and the total absence of noise are quite remarkable. The same applies to the WS.
On this one, I am not sure if the lower part isn't redundant, but it surely doesn't bother me either.

Hi Linas, I'm asking a question, i've just comment a picture in lithuania and i think this is the same place, isn't it ?
Yours as something better to my taste even if each shot has a different mood and atmosphere. You caught such a frozen aspect of the lake and did a great job on PP, strange what you did on handling of level of towers.
